This photo was taken by myself. In this photograph, we can see half of a young models face against a very light grey background. This photo is also in black and white showing tones. In this photo the model's eye stands out extremely clearly against the grey colour of the actual photo. The positive point of this photo is that the models eye stands out, this is a positive factor because it pulls in the attention of the audience as they become unease at what she is actually looking at. The negative point of this photo is that the models skin blends in with the background, this is a negative factor because the model then does not stand out so well creating a plain photo. An improvement I would make to this photo would be too darken the background more.
These two photos connect because they are both in black and white with tones but also the fact that the photo is taken at an angle which only half of the models face shows, so the eyes stand out more. An improvement I would make to my photo, to make it look as perfect as Raphael's photo I would make the skin more whiter and the background darker to keep a soft focus between them both.
This is Raphael Guarino's photo. In this photograph, we can see a close up photo of half a women's face against a grey background. As well as this models eye, her earring also stands out towards the audience and can catch a lot of attention. The positive point of this photo, is the light tone of the models skin, creates the dark features such as her eyes stand out clearly, this is a positive factor because it creates the photo to have emotion and relates back down to the audience. The negative point of this photo is the earring is a distraction, this is a negative factor because it becomes the focus point and pulls the attention away from the model's eye. An improvement I would make to this photo would be to try and photoshop the earring out of view.
