My Definition.
My definition of blurring is when the background or selected subject shows movement which would result in the fact that the selected are becomes out of focus to the audience.
Annotated photos of motion blur:

In this photo, a white dress is shown to move is a clockwise spin as well as the subjects folded arm. Against the black background, the subjects white moving dress stands out clearly, creating this to become the focus point. The postive point of this photo is that the movement of the dress and the way the edges fold in this motion blurred shot becomes eye-catching. This is a positive factor because the contrast between the two colours draws in the focus of the audience and gives a heart racing feel to the atmosphere. I believe this photo does not have a negative point to reveal. An improvement I would make to this photo is by simply applying another motioned blur model to the otherside, this will then occupy the blank space of blackness beside the original subject.

In this photo, the subject is shown to be moving from one move into a still move with motion blur. This models skin, hair colour and jewels contrast with the dark background and the dark colour of her outfit, this makes the photo more out-standing and original looking. The main focus point of this photo would be the models face due to the stern expression she shows. The positive point of this photo is that motion blur from one move to another creates an effect on the audience. This is a positive factor because it reveals the feeling that there may be two different people taken in one photo. It also shows the moves in a unique way that the audience cannot see. The negative point of this photo is that including a dark background with the dark skirt could create confusion for the audience. This is a negative factor because it does not clearly exchange the two from each other. This could lead into the problem that the models top half of her body is the only thing moving. An improvement I would make to this photo is by lightening the background, so the rest of the subjects outfit can be seen.

In this photo, there is a different style of motion blur. This style of motion blur would be the movement of the background with the focused still subject standing/sitting in front. By using the motion blur in this photo, the two young children are seen to be playing in movement. This photo also creates the photo too look like the children that are having a fun childhood pause while the background seems to spin by as a method of showing time. The colours also brighten up the audience as it can relate them back to their childhood. The positive point of this photo is that the photo tells a simple story for the audience to interprutate. This is a positive factor because it can make the audience really think and focus on the photo as they become cheery and happy while they relate to it.

In this photo, there is shown to be the usually camoflaged cheetah running against the blurred background. The cheetahs spots really stand out against the neutral colours of the background and the animal itself. The positive point of this photo is that the motion blur really gives the effect on the audience on how fast the animal is moving at. This is an positive factor because it gives the audience a heart racing beat as they come to realisastion on how quick this animal can move at and what they cannot see when it moves on an normal t.v programme. The negative point of this photo is that the focus point moves onto the tail as its colours stand out the most. This is a negative factor because it draws the attention away from the main purpose of the photo onto something so small and meaningless. An improvement I would make to this photo would be to use the lasso tool to select the cheetah itself, and tone down the brightness and contrast.
Work Diary:
In todays photography session, I found using motion blur a little harder than what I expected it to be. I found by only being able to move the camera left or right, but also up and down while causing the model to move with it a little more difficult to focus on. The reason for this is because by causing two different movements at the same and capturing this, creates less focused photos that even the motion blur can not really be seen through. The positive factor of today was that I learnt that by varying different movements to cause motion blur and taking the photo at a low shutter speed, with just the right lighting I was able to cause 'ghost' like photos but also get some more unique shots.
My two selected photos:
This photo is the first selected photo I have taken and edited. In this photo, we can see the motion blur of a girl swinging her hair from one side to another with her back facing the camera. The shutter speed was taken slowly to get the action in which the human eye cannot capture of one movement to another. This photo shows the original place of the subjects head but also where she stops. The positive point of this photo is that the subjects movement of her original place and where she stops is shown. This is a positive factor because it reveals what the eye cannot see. The negative point of this photo is that the white part of the wall pulls away the focus point from the subject, this is a negative factor because it does not allow the audience to notice the movement of the subject. An improvement I would make to this photo is by cropping the side of the photo down to remove the white wall.
This photo is the second selected photo I have taken and edited. In this photo we can see the mixture of strong and weaker motion blur. The strong motion blur is shown of the two females moving with the marks of the body left behind in the original place, while the weak motion blur is the light motion blur of the person in the jumper behind the model. This transparent figure only leaves a faint movement in motion blur. The positive point of this photo is that the female figure in the darker outfit stands out and causes all the other moving figures to look faint and busy. I believe that this photo does not have a negative factor. An improvement I would make to this photo is by applying a darker contrast to the photo.
Further development:
The further development I would make to this photo in computer editing, is to create a duo tone photo of the second selected photo. I would the apply a light colour against a dark colour to create the motion blur to stand out more. For improvement on this topic, I will choose to use a dark background preferably black before creating the model to do a simple movement, this will cause them to stay in focus more while their actions are blurred around them.
