In photography, we are studying Elements. These elements are important to capture as they are used through everyday life. These elements being studied are: Shape, Lines, Form, Pattern, Colour, Blurring,  Depth, Tone. These elements are used in specific groups, to make it easier to break down the everyday life subjects into smaller things which are easier to produce photos of. These elements also are used to create images that the eye does not record seeing in the certain way shown. Every photo produced by any photographer selected, will always show one of this elements as are lives are based around them.

Elements:

Colour:
Colour can be seen through vivid objects such as flowers but also clothes, furniture, walls, building and a lot more. Colour can be mixed with colour or simply be one block colour. This element is eye catching and outstanding against the human eye.

Depth:
Depth is seen through depth of field meaning through the distance from the camera lens. It can also be seen through looking down a stairwell which seems to create a distance from the bottom to the human eye. Shadows also effect the depth of an object.

Tone:
Tone is always seen from the contrast of lighting with the darkness. This can be when a pale person steps in front of a black background or the darkness of a wall. The contrast can also be shown through photos in black and white or sepia.

Blurring:
Blurring is always shown to be in movement. This can be shown through quick movement from a person in the corner of the viewers eye or through photos. The blurring used would be the motion blur as the main one, because the slow shutter speed will capture the movement of the subject that the human eye does not capture.

Form:
Form is seen everywhere. Form is the three dimensional appearance of an object. These can range from organic trees and plants to man made items such as cars and lamp posts. There is an never ending type of form shown to people.

Lines:
Lines can be shown in varies ways from creating depths to creating patterns. Lines vary between creating railway lines to benches but also the veins in someones arm or the lines across their hands and creases of their eyes. Lines are also known to be straight, curly, wavy or jagged.

Shape:
Shape creates anything and everything in everyday life. Shape is mostly ignored for its element by the human eye as it stands out more in photography from certain camera angles. Shapes can be in the floors and on the walls, it can be the way the bottom of a drinking bottle is made, but it also can be the way a door is made.

Pattern:
Patterns are known to be the way a line shape is shown to been placed to create an equal sequence through out. Patterns are known to be shown on peoples clothes e.g. aztec patterns, but also through the  wall papers or the way the petals on a flower have grown.
